Pleasant boat trip.
Very well run, on time service. Straightforward booking on the website and comfortable sailings on the day we used it.

Amazing place with fantastic service
I took a day trip to Inishbofin on the Ferry. The ferry service is fantastic and the Island is beautiful. Unfortunately, during the trip my wife got a phone call to say that a family member who was ill at the time, was passing. We returned to the harbour to see if there was a way to get off the Island sooner as the next ferry was not due to leave for several hours. On seeing how upset my wife was, the ferryboat captain made some phone calls and within minutes there was a super-fast rib there to take us back to the mainland. Because of that, my wife manged to get back to Dublin in time to say goodbye. A huge thank you to the ferryboat captain and the rib owner for their amazing kindness...it will never be forgotten. We look forward to revisiting the Island in the not-to-distant future and under happier circumstances.

Unique experience
Excellent experience on InishBofin boat charter
Felt more like a sea safari than a boat trip - when we encountered a pod of dolphins and stopped to admire them in their natural habitat.
Beautiful scenery and a our captain was very kind to our children- explaining about the sea life as well as sharing some local history with us.
A very clean and safe experience. The highlight of our holiday in Galway.
A gorgeous day trip if in the area- lots to enjoy on the island too.. cycling a must!

Superb Service
I took the Inishbofin ferry from Cleggan for a day trip recently. I found it to be an excellent service.
Even though it was very full in high season, it left on time both from Cleggan in the morning and from Inishbofin in the evening. The crossing was very smooth and scenic and took about 30ish minutes.
No facilities on board bar toilets, at least not that I saw, but as I said it was very crowded so once I had my spot to sit I didn't explore the boat.
Their website is excellent, very easy to book. Can't remeber exatly but it was about €22 or €25 return. Parking is plentiful in various opportunist locals fields for €3 for the day!

Keep your reservation number
Booked online but never got a confirmation email, couldn’t get through by phone to ensure we were booked so we’re really nervous driving two hours to the boat in case it was full. Luckily they still had a different record of my name.
I would have liked for passengers to be told to wear masks at all times on the boat when we were boarding as there were a few inside who ‘declined’ to do so once the boat started moving.

A piece of heaven
It was my first trip to Innisboffin Island and what an experience. Fantastic views! Innisboffin Ferry provide an excellent service. In light of the covid pandemic the health and safety on the boat was brilliant. Everyone had to wear masks on the boat and sanitise hands. The staff were sanitising their hands all the time. The boat was kept to 50% full. I would highly recommend theme. Maria
